Adey Omotade is a Nigerian sound artist, composer and interdisciplinary artist working across experimental music, acoustic ecology, sound design and contemporary Yoruba sonic practices. His sound practice draws from field recordings, indigenous rhythms, archival material, ritual, electronic textures and environmental listening to explore memory, migration, ecology and cultural identity. His works include NIRI, Irin Aajo and Ęęro : Eeşu, extending his Postafrobeat practice through immersive compositions, sound installations, film and performance. His work has been presented across Africa and internationally, connecting Yoruba knowledge and contemporary experimental sound with new forms of listening.
